Pirotski ćilim (eng. Pirot woven rugs) is an authentic wool rug with traditional motifs which are preserved as part of Serbia’s cultural heritage.
Pirot is an old town situated on the ancient route from Vienna to Istanbul. Many traders brought their ideas, many conquerors imposed their will, and many travellers have left and leave parts of their soul here. All this is woven into the famous Pirot rugs.
